Voting as a Christian: Voting Against Abortion
Everyone has their reasons for voting who they vote for, I agree, but when there's someone who is pro-choice and not pro-life that's where a true Christian should draw the line. Abortion is murder but is not treated that way under our law today but would be if we still lived under the old law. Did you know that? Yes, you would be put to death if you killed a baby in the womb. It says so in Exodus 21: 22 - 25!
22 “When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman’s husband shall impose on him, and vhe shall pay as the wjudges determine. 23 But if there is harm,4 then you shall pay xlife for life, 24 yeye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Why would God command this if it wasn't a sin?
Abortion
Abortion is murder because God is the one who created the pregnancy and the fetus. When you look up the definition of a fetus it says it's an unborn baby. It's still a baby... It's still a human... and if you're killing a human isn't that murder?
He decided He wanted it to take place and we shouldn't get in the way of creation or apply destruction to creation. We really shouldn't have a say in it because it isn't up to us who God wants on this earth. He puts certain individuals on this earth for special reasons and your unborn child could very much possibly be or carry a very special meaning to this world.
Abortion is murder and murder is a sin and sin is evil and God turns away from evil. We don't want God to turn away from us! We do not want that!
We should question someone's relationship with Christ if they're voting for sin. For Judas once was a friend of Jesus and he betrayed Him. We, as Christians, must watch out for these types of people for they are wolves in sheep's clothing. See, a Christian is a sheep and sin is the wolf. If someone claims to be a Christian but is for sin that makes them a wolf in sheep's clothing. There's a lot of people claiming to be Christians while voting for abortion and it's just not right. If you're voting for sin you're voting against Jesus and Jesus doesn't want this for us. He didn't die for us so that we could be in sin, He died for us so that it can be taken away.
Yes, we should remind ourselves neither party is perfect because literally no one is except for our lord and savior but we should also remind ourselves that there is a party that is closer to being perfect than the other. Sin practices imperfectness while love covers a multitude of sins and whichever party is against abortion is the one that's more loving.
Another reminder: Yes, Jesus had no political party because He didn't live in a democracy. Voting was not an option in the Roman Empire. But, however, Jesus did teach us to be good citizens and to also work for a BETTER world, not worse!
Sickened
You think you're sickened?...
I'm sickened...
We, Christians, are sickened.
You call yourself a Christian but are voting for sin.
Your'e right about one thing but it is not this. Your'e right for saying God sees sin the exact same but why can't you see that abortion is sin? Why can't you see that the person that you're voting for is for sin? Because God sees that too and He sees you voting for that.
24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and [m]wealth." - Matthew 6:24
In other words, you cannot serve both God and sin.
Forgiveness
As we go through these troubled times and face people with different opinions of us we must keep in our mind that we should forgive them and ask God to forgive them. For if we don't forgive others then God won't forgive us either.
